Clinical Psychologist with Masters in Educational Psychology, Member of Australian Psychological Society, FCCLP

Vivien Suttner is a registered clinical psychologist based in Newtown, in Sydney's Inner West, with over 25 years of experience working with children, adolescents and adults. She takes an integrative approach to therapy, drawing on a range of evidence-based models to meet the unique needs of each individual and each family.

At the heart of Vivien's work is a genuine focus on authenticity, empowerment and honesty - creating a therapeutic space where people feel safe, understood and able to explore difficult experiences at their own pace. Vivien sees clients from across the Inner West, Eastern Suburbs, North Shore, Parramatta, Western Sydney and greater Sydney, and provides telehealth services for clients across NSW and throughout Australia.

Vivien has undertaken specialised training in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS).

Her integrative approach allows therapy to be tailored to each person's circumstances, goals and strengths, and her practice is grounded in a trauma-informed framework that emphasises compassion, collaboration and a strengths-based perspective.

Vivien works with children, adolescents and adults, and has experience facilitating therapeutic groups and delivering professional training programs.

Vivien has considerable expertise in psychological assessment for both adults and children. Areas of particular interest include the assessment of specific learning disorders including dyslexia, dyscalculia and dysgraphia, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), autism spectrum disorder (ASD), neurodiversity and cognitive ability (IQ). Her specialist training in educational psychology gives her a particularly strong foundation in understanding how cognitive profiles translate into learning, functioning and day-to-day life.

Vivien is the principal psychologist of 360 Psychology. She holds a Masters in Educational Psychology and is a board-approved supervisor for provisional psychologists, with nine years of supervisory experience. Vivien has over 25 years of experience as a registered psychologist and has worked across community mental health, crisis counselling, educational settings and private practice.
